Skomagerhuset is originally a small annexed house to the bigger corner house on Norregade dating back to the 1860's
The house is build from local munk stones and has probably been used as warehouse or stable for horses. The main building was for many years home of the towns news paper.
Later the small annexed house was given its own street no. and for many years it was occupied by one of the local shoemakers. Perhaps that's why you can still sense the traditions of good craftmanship in the gallery's mere 53 m2
